Is it possible to fall in love with a whole country, with her people and landscapes and lifestyle, and to do that again every single time you visit?
Yes, it is. Si.
I know that an account of a mere running race can’t possibly begin to explain it. Or even pictures of a city, her mountains, a desert and sky.
But that’s what I’m going to try to do. And I know it’ll take me a while.
So for now, until I’m complete, here it all is, in music. Hasta que puedo volver.

Oh yes it is certainly possible to fall in love with a place. I lived in Malaga (Andalucia) for a year around 7 years ago.
I still dream at night that I am there, looking out from the viewpoint on the way up to the Gibralfaro, looking down at the bustle below.
Málaga… te quiero y me echo de menos!
Thanks very much, Antonio.
It was a real delight to visit Almeria again, and I hope to return soon.
Hola, Spanish Talk, and thanks for your comment.
That’s a very interesting site and blog you have there, and well worth a visit. I’ll add you to my links.
Your recipe for tortilla espanola is especially apt, given my photo above. It’s long been a favourite of mine, too. And I think my running friends will be keen to try it out, tambien …
Thanks for your kind words Roads!
BTW, I have activated your membership to the Spanish Talk Forum: it’s a little light on posts at the moment as it is fairly new and I haven’t yet had time to promote it properly.
Anyway, all the best…. I’ll drop back soon.
Hasta ahora.
